Thanks for this info. I’ve got an earworm of this song and wanted to know more about it.
My god she sounds just like Ronnie Spector.
pretty cool sounding song
Great commercial! Who are the actors?
Love this song, Penny & the Quarters, YOU AND ME. Keep the commercial going!!
I love this song! I wish Clem Price would have released “You and Me Baby” when it was recorded in the 70’s!!! Beautiful song! Good thing it made it on the Blue Valentine soundtrack. I found out that Penny is still alive. but two of her brothers that were members of Penny and the Quarters are now deceased.
Great commercial, hate that they shortened it on TV. Who are the two actors?
Yes, who is the girl?
Why have they shortened this ad. It really is the best and they took part of it away.
Whoever told Penny she could sing, did a great disservice to Oreo and to the public. I’ve heard cats carry a better tune.
Thank you. That oh oh oh sounds like a wounded dog.
You sound like a wouned cat and dog O
LOVED THIS SONG SINCE I WAS 10
Too many people have been seduced by autotune and other music studio tricks, so they’re accustomed to “perfect” pitch, tone, harmony, acoustics, etc. Just as media airbrushed away wrinkles and other so called imperfections that are natural. All of this is the sad business of ego-driven humans who prefer slickness in their media, be it audio or image.
Well now, such wasn’t so back in the day. Ergo, the ad agency behind the Oreo commercial actually used a stroke of genius in evoking a more innocent time *musically speaking*, when pitch and tone of the lead singer sometimes was off or sour — but oh so real. The actors are portraying a dad and his daughter staring up at the stars. That’s such a pure moment. And it’s s timeless kind of scene. It’s classic…like the Oreo brand…like Penny & the Quarters.
There, I’ve just given more than my two cents for those of you spewing nonsense and hate.
