Lyrics:
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns
And calls me on and on across the universe
Jai guru deva
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Jai guru deva
Jai guru deva
The commercial song is “Across the Universe” by Skip Marley. For those of you who like this song “Across the Universe”, you can download it from Amazon or iTunes.

Samsung: New Normal
Client: Samsung
Geo: United States
Released: April 2017
Advertising Agency: Leo Burnett, Chicago
Music: Across the Universe by Rufus Wainwright
“Across the Universe” is performed by Rufus Wainwright. Skip Marley is incorrect.
ACROSS THE UNIVERSE is a Lennon-McCartney song from the Beatles 1970 album LET IT BE.
Personally I find it disgusting that a classic work of art such as this is being used to make filthy luchre for a soulless corporation, but that is the new normal.
If it weren’t for a car advert, Nick Drake may never have been re-discovered.
Pink Moon appeared on a Volkswagen advert about 25 years after his early death at 26. It wasn’t the first choice…but it found it’s way into the mind of a Volkswagen executive. He loved it.
Adverts do give artists amazing hype “across the universe” for their art.
Although, as a songwriter myself(for JASMINE LAMPORT), i am in agreement with you for so many reasons and yet only one reason stands out alone FOR getting a song on an ad….Jasmine is only just being discovered…and needs income…in order to create….and so do i as her co-writer. I packed in a business to focus on songwriting. At least i know how to deal with executive. We won’t get ripped off!!!
How did they get the permission? Through Wainwright, not the Beatles/George Harrison?
Quite right James B.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2jPdb4kJ8M
Possibly Wainwright bought it after 50 years, as he sang it in c2001?

To me, as somebody that doesn’t watch tv adverts very often, I raised my head from my iPad when I heard a couple of bars of music then the singing voice which enhanced the musical journey. To me it was very beautiful indeed. I do have an ear for good music, any type, certain singing voices, from opera to garage, whatever, from the day I sat in the cinema at 16 years of age listening to “Limelight ” by Charles Chaplin, all the way home I had the music in my head. It became a hit in the 50’s, my era. Just been on google again to find out about this gorgeous sound.
Can I buy a cd with Nothings gonna change my world by Rufus Wainwright, love this boys voice.
how the hell did an apostrophe get into nothings?
got it wrong – too tired to do this
