As Opening Day at T-Mobile Park drew near, there were countless calls, making sure everything was ready for baseball.
There was an endless email chain about food and condiments.
A trucker in Washington uses GPS to make sure the new signs got there in time.
High in the booth, announcer streamed highlights – debating the best and worst plays in history.
And just hours before the first pitch, the head groundskeeper sends 17 texts, checking and double-checking that the newly sodded field was perfect.
But when the sun set over T-Mobile Park and the lights flickered on, they put down their phones and gave the game to the people who loved it most.
